The critically acclaimed series from writer Robert Kirkman with art by Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. Described as a Romero-like tale of the unraveling of sanity during an appocalypse of the undead. Rick Grimes, a police officer who was shot on duty awakes from a coma to find his world completely upside down. The dead now walk to feast on the living. Fearing for the safety of his wife and son, Rick flees the hospital in search of his family. He later meets up with a group of survivors on the outskirts of Atlanta. There he is reunited with his wife, son and fellow cop Shane. The story follows the group on their quest to find a safe place to stay. Their journey is full of peril and not only from the flesh hungry ghouls. The team will also encounter psycopaths, brave weather conditions and the collapse of their own sanity as the world they once knew is dead to them. Writer Robert Kirkman (Marvel Zombies, The Invincibles) is a master at creating a scenario that puts the zombies as the second threat and the unstable emotional state of the character(s) in the forefront. Artist Tony Moore (The Exterminators, Fear Agent) is an amazing artist that captures the tone of the book with his amazing art. Tony later left the series and handed artist duties over to the talented Charlie Adlard. The Walking Dead is a rollercoaster of emotions and action that is sure to please all zombie fans.

An all-new tale of zombies and katanas! They began to appear just three days ago, and now Los Angeles is a city overcrowded by zombies. In the Coliseum Refugee Camp, thousands of survivors are waiting for an evacuation that never comes. Between them are Brad, the student; Paquita, the barrio girl; Lonzo the gangsta, and the always-smiling martial arts master, Shigeru... and they'll have to join forces to survive the zombies and the other refugees! Also featuring a special 7-page bonus story at no additional cost—War of the Undead: The Prelude, by Karney’s Bryan Johnson and Walter Flanagan, which leads into January’s three-issue War of the Undead miniseries!
From writer Rick Remender (Fear Agent), artist Tony Moore (Fear Agent, The Walking Dead, Exterminators) and artist Kieron Dwyer (Remains, Batman, The Avengers) comes this awesome tale of the undead in seedy Hollywood. " "I’ve been explaining the series as Boogie Nights of the Living Dead. Here’s the basic premise - It’s 1976, overnight the fledgling pornography industry has grown into one of the largest markets in the world. In order to make a dozen films at once, producer Wong Hung Low and actor Jeremy Ronald have gathered the top stars of adult film in a secluded San Fernando Valley warehouse for an intensive week of shoots. However, when the swollen members of this entourage emerge they are horrified to discover that a Zombie plague has overrun the city of angels. Wong immediately sets out on the greatest money making scheme of all time-- rounding up zombified “A” list movie stars for use in his flesh films… and more." -Rick Remender from an interview with Newsarama The comic is due out in February 2007 and should make for a gut-ripping good time!
George Romero and John Russo are back to bring you 'Night of the Living Dead: Back From the Grave.' The book is a 3-issue mini series that acts as a prequel to 'Night of the Living Dead.' Amazing cover artwork by artist Sebastian Fiamura. As you may well know, AVATAR Press has a knack for releasing a bunch of cover variants with my favorite always being the 'Gore' cover artwork. 'Back From the Grave' is out now, so hit your local comic shop to snag your issues.
The talented trio of writer Mark Kidwell, artist Jeff Zornow and colorist Joe Allard bring you 'Day of the Dead: The Rising of Bub.' A 3 part mini series that delves into the story of the infamous zombie 'Bub' from George Romero's 'Day of the Dead.' Amazing artwork and vivid colors coupled with Mark Kidwell's incredible storytelling give this book a raw edge with a hefty dose of extreme gore. I highly reccomend this title as the creative talent behind the book are an incredible team of down-to-earth dudes that love horror. Let me just start out by saying that this title is absolutely incredible. Writer Mike Raicht and artist Kyle Hotz take a new spin on the Golden era Marvel character 'Simon Garth' in this 4 issue mini series from Marvel Max. Simon is just an ordinary-joe and a bank manager that gets put into some comprimising situations. When two crazed bank robbers hold up his bank and take him and another woman hostage, his intital thoughts are keeping him and the woman safe from the homicidal thieves. A big wrench gets thrown into the gears when their car happens upon what appears to be a bad chemical spill. They soon discover that the 'chemical spill' causes the dead to rise and feast on the flesh of the living. Mike Raicht's writing is amazing and he leaves each issue in an interesting cliffhanger of events. Kyle Hotz' artwork is absolutely stunning. He certainly has his own style that I really appreciate. Dan Brown's colors provide an almost vintage look with mild colors that really set the tone and mood of the pages. Be sure to check out our interview with writer Mike Raicht: Mike Raicht interview
